Today, Labour’s Andy Burnham of Makersfield won the by-election – so how could we see a challenge to Keir Starmer as Labor leader? Burnham won by 25,000 votes, beating Reform UK’s Robert Kenyon by more than 9,000 votes. In his victory speech, Andy Burnham said: “Everyone knows politics doesn’t work and he’s said in the past that he wants to enter any Labor leadership race. So what happens now?
