The two poles of the capital of Saudi Arabia are preparing for the new season
It will be the pole of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr meet in an exclusive event in the new season of Roshen League 2026-2027.
Clubs in the Saudi League play 34 matches per season, as the number of clubs has increased from 16 to 18 from the 2023-2024 season, so each team plays 17 home and away matches.
However, the Riyadh clubs, led by Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr, will play 22 matches in the Saudi capital next season, 17 of which will be at their stadium and 5 at the opponent’s stadium.
The increase comes on the back of an increase in the number of clubs playing in Riyadh next season, after Al-Shabaab and Riyad avoided relegation from the Roshan League and Diriya were promoted from the Saudi Yellow League to the first division.
In addition, Saudi journalist Ahmed Al-Ajlan confirmed that the Al-Khulud club intends to move the headquarters of the first team from Al-Ras city to Riyadh from next season, so that it will hold its matches in the Roshan League in the capital of Saudi Arabia.
And so “Al-Hilal” and “Al-Nasr” teams will play 17 matches in the next season in the Saudi League at their stadium, and 5 matches each away in Riyadh.The most notable of these is the derby that brings them together, in addition to the matches of Riyadh, Al-Shabaab, Diriya and Al-Khulud.
It is noteworthy that Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal fought for the title of Saudi League champion until the last round last season, and Al-Alami managed to win the title for the eleventh time in its history and the first after a 7-year absence.
