The tools in the Porsche Communication Management section are faster than ever (Porsche says up to five times) and there are customizable widgets and personal assistants. The system is fully OTA-upgradable, says Porsche.

All of this should make the Taycan easy to own. E-Shift should make it fun. The idea is simple: simulate the combination of a paddleshift semi-automatic transmission by changing the throttle map and raising the adaptive brake, using the paddles on the steering wheel. Hyundai proved it with its Ioniq 5 N that, when done well, adds to all the joy. Like Honda is his The S+ upgrade in the new Preludeand Ferrari is doing something similar (but slightly different) and lights Luce. (Even if it is done unconsciously, it is not very good Lexus RZ’s M Mode it was amazing.)
E-Shift is activated as an additional option on the GT Sport’s steering wheel, and like the other EVs, if you don’t want to pretend you have a gearbox, don’t press the button.
