Nathan Trott: Cardiff have signed the Copenhagen goalkeeper permanently after a loan spell

Trott has also impressed with his ability on the ball, helping head coach Brian Barry-Murphy implement a wide new style of play.

Trott attributes some of these skills to him Played in midfield and defense while growing up in Bermuda.

Former Premier League Bermudian striker Clyde Best recommended Trott to West Ham United after being given a chance to play in goal due to injury to a teammate at an under-15 tournament.

During his five years with the Hammers, Trott had loan spells at AFC Wimbledon, French side Nancy and Denmark’s Vejle before joining Copenhagen in 2024.

Now get your chance to become a permanent part of the Trott Bluebirds squad.

“I think it’s a perfect group to be part of,” he added. “With Brian we’ve got a good core of players, a good core of young players, Welsh lads, a few experienced players and I think we’ve all worked very well together.

“From the first game I felt the love of the fans, and at the beginning of the season it only grew in every single game. It’s an amazing feeling; it makes it easier for me to play every game knowing that they’re behind you, especially away games – they’re always there.

“It’s a very special atmosphere, a special group of fans and the city as well, so I’m looking forward to continuing that story.

“I’m excited for the championship. I think it’s a great opportunity for me to show what I can do. I think everyone has seen what I’m capable of this season, but no one has yet seen what I can do at a high level, so I’m excited to get started.”
