A thrilling strike at the end of the derby
Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr were involved in a heated altercation in the final minutes of the derby, resulting in a red card for Al-Alami’s substitutes.
The curtain fell on the derby with a positive draw (1-1) in the 32nd round of the Rushen League on Tuesday evening.
Al-Hilal were looking to level the game in the final minute until the 92nd minute, when they witnessed leading left-back Frenchman Theo Hernandez’s fiery altercation with a member of Al-Nasr’s technical staff.

The referee sent the ball into the Al-Hilal goal in front of the Al-Nasr bench, which angered the technical staff led by Portugal’s Jorge Jesus and his assistant in response to the referee’s decision.
In the tense moments that followed a member of Al-Nasr’s technical staff objecting to the referee’s decision, there was a sudden altercation on the pitch after direct contact with French full-back Theo Hernandez, who tried to respond and collided in the tense moment.
The situation quickly escalated after a member of Al-Nasr’s technical staff pushed the French player hard, prompting a number of players from both sides to intervene in an attempt to contain the crisis and calm the atmosphere before it got out of hand.
With the tension relatively calmed, the match referee announced the red card amid objections from some sides, before TV replays of the Eight played showed that the sending-off had been directed at the technical assistant rather than one of the players on the pitch.
