The Puerto Rican enters the fight with a 48-4-1 record and has claimed titles in seven different weight classes, leaving Martin’s record of 32 knockouts the only record left to claim.

After defeating Mayeli Flores to become the undisputed super bantamweight world champion, Eli Scotney is eyeing a future fight with the legendary Serrano

Chief executive of MVP Nikisa Bidarianto talk Sky Sports:

“I think her number one goal is to tie and break Christy Martin’s knockout record. If she gets a knockout this weekend, she ties it. One more, she breaks it, the most knockouts in the history of a female fighter.

“It’s about continuing to give back to the sport. When you look at this coming weekend, Amanda came to El Paso to support Stephanie Hahn.

Scotney promises an ‘all-action’ performance against Flores and says, if he wins, he’ll have his eyes on Serrano

“And we said to Amanda, we like the idea, but to be transparent, we can’t pay you what you’re used to paying here. Smaller market, different opportunity.

“Amanda didn’t hesitate and said, ‘I’ll take less. I want to do this. It’s important for me to show these women what it means to be a team player, what it means to try to advance women’s boxing.’

“I express my gratitude to him and his team for their willingness not only to look for themselves, but for the next generation of fighters and how they can support it.”
