Jack Draper has withdrawn from the DC Open with a left hand injury.
The former world No. 4 suffered an injury in 2026 that saw him miss three Grand Slam tournaments, Just one day after the withdrawal Draper claimed he was feeling “physically better”.
The Briton, who is coached by Sir Andy Murray, has dropped to world No. 147 in the ATP rankings, meaning he will face a qualifier after being denied direct entry into the main draw at September’s US Open.

Jack Draper reflects on his battle with injury after returning to action and talks about the impact Sir Andy Murray had on him at a difficult time in his career.
“I’ve had an incredibly challenging 12 months, a lot of adversity, a lot of troubleshooting, a lot of pain, and trying to figure it out and come through,” Draper said at a press conference on Sunday.
“I’ve never had a long-term injury before so I feel a lot better than last year. I feel really good physically.”

Draper first withdrew from the tour a year ago with an arm problem and has managed just a few tournaments since, with knee and shoulder problems also hampering his return.
After missing out on the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon, Draper’s chances of making the US Open – the last major tournament in 2026 – are now in doubt.
