Mourinho’s return caused a split in “Real”.

Portugal’s Jose Mourinho’s return to Real Madrid next season is causing a clear division within Castle Royal.

Real Madrid have yet to name their new coach, but most media reports confirm that Mourinho is set for a new term at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mourinho led Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013He had some success, along with some crises in the locker room.

In turn, the French website Foot Mercato noted that Jose Mourinho’s return to Real Madrid is a story that causes a clear division of opinion.

He added that Florentino Perez and his trusted assistants are betting on the “Special One” to save the club and restore order to a dressing room that was, to put it mildly, chaotic.

However, this option did not find consensus in Madrid, as many members were oblivious to the many disagreements and problems that marked Mourinho’s first attempt at the Bernabeu.

The Portuguese coach is expected to arrive in Madrid with full powers, with Spanish media confirming that the Real Madrid board have responded to Jose Mourinho’s demands to, among other things, choose his coaching staff in the transfer window and ask for the players he wants. However, although everything seemed stable, some minor problems appeared in this regard.

AS reports, Mourinho’s arrival will be significantly delayed. First, the ongoing electoral process in Madrid prevents the current president Florentino Perez from appointing a coach.

So we have to wait at least two weeks until the election is over before Mourinho is appointed, assuming of course that Perez is re-elected.

But more importantly, the Spanish publication explains that once this election is over, the €7 million release clause in Mourinho’s contract will no longer apply, as it expires on May 26.

Thus, “Benfica” will be able to demand more money from “Real Madrid”, and this is clearly planned by the Lisbon club.

The delay also hampers Mourinho’s plans in the transfer market as he is still unable to make decisions and risks losing some players and signing with other clubs. The newspaper AS even talks about “crucial weeks” during which the exceptional coach and Real Madrid will not be able to work seriously or make progress.
