Mourinho published his last message before the Real Madrid test

Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho said goodbye to “Benfica” with an emotional message, preparing for the next round with Real Madrid.

Benfica announced in an official statement yesterday, Tuesday evening, that Real Madrid have paid the €15m release clause in Mourinho’s contract in preparation for signing him.

Real Madrid has not yet officially announced the signing of MourinhoBut the deal is now confirmed.

In his farewell message, Mourinho expressed his gratitude to Benfica president Rui Costa for giving him the opportunity to work at the Portuguese club.

“It was a great honor and privilege to represent this club. I express my sincere thanks to all the professionals of the Benfica Center who have shown exemplary professionalism, dedication and competence.”

“As for the players I’ve had the honor of working with, I offer my sincere thanks and wish them success both on a personal and professional level. I carry with me the conviction that for more than a minute we have created a strong bond.

In turn, Sky Sports said today. “Jose Mourinho will leave Lisbon for Madrid this Wednesday afternoon to complete his return to Real Madrid.”

Real will release a statement later on Wednesday announcing the re-appointment of the “exceptional coach” on a three-year contract. He must accompany with him five members of the technical staff.”
