Veteran manager Jose Mourinho led his side to a 3-1 victory over Estoril in the last round of the Portuguese league today, Saturday.

Despite the win, Benfica failed to qualify for the Champions League and settled for a place in the Europa League, where they finished third with 80 points, two points behind runners-up Sporting Lisbon and eight behind title winners Porto.

Benfica finished the league unbeaten with 23 wins and 11 draws.
