The condition of the camera is difficult to judge at this point. Motorola’s devices have struggled to keep up with Google and Samsung in terms of image quality, but the hardware looks solid. All three rear cameras are 50 MP, including the Sony Lytia with gargantuan 2.44μm primary pixels.
Initially, the Razr Fold will be available unlocked directly from Motorola, but eventually it will come to T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile. The pen will be sold only with the Fire, but it is an optional extra – there is no room in the phone.
If large folders aren’t your thing, Motorola still has three phones for the 2026 model. All three phones have large external displays with enough space to run apps and answer messages. They are also great for taking selfies with large cameras. The Ultra has Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3, while the other models have Gorilla Glass Victus, an upgrade over last year.
The 2026 Razr Ultra has an updated 50 MP sensor that can apparently gather more light to capture faster, faster images. The Razr+ also switches from a 2x telephoto to an ultrawide. Meanwhile, the basic model gets a higher ultrawide (50 MP from 13 MP). All other camera equipment seems unchanged.
The Razr 2026 has a smaller external screen, but it comes in a variety of colors.

The Razr Ultra also packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite with 16GB of RAM, making it comparable to any flagship phone. However, it seems that there will be no way to store 1TB of Ultra in 2026 as it was last time. The Razr+ drops to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with 12GB of RAM (unchanged from last year), and the Razr has the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X (a slight upgrade) and 8GB of RAM.
Last year’s Razr phones featured a significant expansion of Motorola’s AI efforts, and both features remain in the 2026 models. The Moto AI system includes features from three different AI providers. Gemini is included in all cases, but there are also features for Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. Phones can summarize your information, create meeting notes, and provide suggestions about what’s on the screen. The phones also have a Google Photos feature that scans your clothes and suggests new outfits.
