The president of La Liga has explained his opinion on the return of the “Special One” to Real Madrid
Spanish league president Javier Tebas believes the return of veteran Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid substitutes will add “great excitement” to La Liga.
Mourinho is a few steps away from returning to Real MadridEspecially after the success of Florentino Perez in the Royal election yesterday, Sunday, who earlier confirmed that the Portuguese coach will return for a second term at the Merengues.
“Mourinho’s return seems interesting to me. I won’t comment on the sporting aspect, but I’ve always said that I liked the league with Mourinho and Guardiola because they added a lot of excitement.”
He added, according to “Mundo Deportivo” newspaper. “We all know Mourinho and I’m sure he’ll be very pleased.”
Tebas stated that he did not know the name of the player for whom Florentino Perez promised to invest around 150 million euros, but he explained that he had always insisted on the importance of not wasting money in Spanish football.
He continued. “Hopefully, if “Real” makes this investment, they will succeed and make a big name.
Tebas confirmed that the Spanish league will start on the weekend of next August 15, except for the teams whose players are participating in the World Cup semi-finals or final.
In this regard, he said that his idea was to guarantee “21 days of mandatory leave” for the football players so that those teams could play that weekend.
