With Sevilla focused on staying in the Spanish league after their win over Real Sociedad, the question of selling the club has lessened but remains a possibility.
Monchi’s Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo’s relationship with Sergio Ramos, with whom he celebrated the Real Madrid man’s recent birthday, has hinted at the Spaniard’s possible interest in buying a stake in Sevilla, a matter that will be resolved next May when the team secures Premier League survival.
“If you ask Sergio Ramos, his colleagues or the shareholders of Sevilla, they will not be entirely sure what will happen,” Monchi said during the “Un podcast con acento” podcast. “I know that perhaps as chairman he would like to have a key role in decisions about the future of the club.”
Monchi’s future was another topic of discussion given his link with San Fernando, with whom he recently celebrated promotion, and his involvement in other projects. He confirmed. “Right now my focus is on San Fernando. Does that mean I will never work with another club? No… San Fernando will always be my priority and anything that can be offered to me must be compatible with San Fernando.”

“As for Sevilla, I have no offers to return at the moment. If they call me, I’ll listen, but right now I’m comfortable with my current situation.”
“San Fernando has to be compatible with everything, otherwise there will be no offer,” added Monchi, whose name has been linked to both the potential project of Sergio Ramos and the project of Antonio Labe and Fede Quintero.
