A man has been charged in connection with a car bomb in the Republic of Ireland.
The vehicle was stopped on the N2 near Carrickmacross on Wednesday as part of an operation targeting the opposition republican movement.
The man, who is in his 40s, will appear before the Criminal Court on Saturday evening.
A 25-year-old woman was charged in the same case on Friday.
