An enthusiastic message from the Lions coach
The Moroccan national team arrived in the United States of America with high ambitions ahead of the start of the 2026 World Cup, which will begin in Group C, where they will face Brazil, Haiti and Scotland.
“Atlas Lions” coach Mohamed Webe said in the statement of the Moroccan “Al-Bula” newspaper. “We are here to achieve great success. We really hope that our fans are proud to be Moroccan and proud of their national team.”

He added: “The Moroccan national team is going to this tournament with great determination to prove that today it has become one of the biggest football teams in the world,” emphasizing that all the team members are aware of the greatness of the responsibility placed on their shoulders.
Webb noted that “the competition will be strong given the presence of big and high-level teams,” but instead he stressed his players’ willingness to take on the challenge.
“The team will fight in every game and do everything to represent Morocco in the best possible way and to satisfy the Moroccan fans who are waiting for the team’s participation in the World Cup with great ambition and hope.”
