The Rossoneri star is racing against time
Today, Sunday, the Italian press updated the health condition of the Croatian star, “Milan” midfielder Luka Kodric, who suffered a serious facial injury in the match against “Juventus” of the 34th round of the Italian League.
The Milan club issued a statement announcing the end of Luka Modric’s season, wishing him a speedy recovery in time for the World Cup and confirming he had undergone surgery following a severe head clash with Manuel Locatelli that resulted in a fractured cheekbone.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the former Real Madrid star is not ready to give up so easily as he will return to Milan next week once the stitches are removed, which is expected to happen next Tuesday.

Modric with a protective mask?
He noted that Modric not only wants to return to training, but also wants to participate in the last match of this season for “Milan”, which will be at home against “Cagliari”.
To do this, he will have to resort to the common idea of wearing a protective mask to avoid additional complications.
As the periodical reports, Modric believes that this will calm the Croatian national team, which is preparing for the 2026 World Cup.
