Missiles and drones fired at the Gulf states after the night of the US war in Iran | US-Israel War on Iran News

THE STORY IS DEVELOPING,

Three people, including a child, were injured in the attack in Qatar as violence was also reported in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan.

Air defense systems in the Gulf states and Jordan have fired Iran’s missiles and drones after one night of US airstrikes in Iran.

The United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain sent public warnings on Saturday night and Sunday morning about incoming missiles and drones.

Kuwait said its military responded to the incident in its territory on Sunday.

In Qatar, the Interior Ministry said three people, including a child, were injured in the fall and warnings of violence were sent to residents.

Three missiles from Iran landed in Jordan without causing any damage, officials said.

Air security in the UAE was also activated after reports of missiles and drones coming from Iran.

Warning sirens sounded three times in Bahrain on Sunday morning to warn of impending violence.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it is targeting a US radar site in Kuwait and destroying command and control facilities and drone hangars at a military base in Jordan used by the US military.

It also said that Qatar’s military aircraft repair facility at a military base also used by the US was destroyed although the Qatari government said all the projectiles were captured.

Iran also said aid to US aircraft and oil tankers at the Omani port of Duqm, which is located outside the Strait of Hormuz, was also targeted. The Omani news agency reported that the Musandam area was monitored by drones on Sunday.

The US military struck about 140 missiles in Iran early Sunday, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM). The third night of the attack followed an Iranian attack on a submarine in the Strait of Hormuz.

The United Kingdom’s Maritime Trade Operations Agency said the ship had been attacked from Oman and the crew had been “rescued by the authorities”.

Initially, CENTCOM reported that the IRGC attacked the M/V GFS Galaxy, causing a fire on the vessel and “major damage to the engine room”.

The crew had to leave the 300-foot (958ft-long) ship in a lifeboat. India’s Ministry of External Affairs said 11 Indian nationals were on board, 10 were rescued and one was missing. They said their embassy in Muscat is following this and is asking for calm.

Iran said it had closed the Strait of Hormuz after it partially reopened after Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending hostilities in mid-June. Iran said the ship heading to the Strait of Hormuz was using a route it did not approve.

The issue remains a key issue between the US and Iran after the US and Israel launched a war against Iran in February.
