A press release has revealed the reason why Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa left one of the team’s players off twice in the previous few games, even though he was not injured.
Real Madrid are set to face Espanyol today in the 34th round of La Liga in a clash that could hand the La Liga title to Barcelona if the Royals falter.
The White Club announced List of teams for this matchwhich witnessed the presence of the name of left back Alvaro Carreras.
However, Spanish newspaper El Mundo reports that the left-handed defender has been left out of the starting line-up for more than one game this season due to concerns about behavior and discipline within the team, according to the assessment of the technical staff led by Alvaro Arbeloa.
According to the same source, the decisions were not only related to technical aspects, but came from an internal evaluation of the player’s behavior during training and in the dressing room.
This raises doubts over the future of the player who arrived from Benfica last summer, as his double suspension opens the door to several scenarios, one of which could be him looking for a new opportunity outside the club’s walls.
