Midjourney bought the Co-Star program

Co-Star is a free app that provides daily ratings and lets you see if you’re compatible with your friends. As mentioned on FAQ page for the appcombines human intelligence, data from NASA, and AI to provide personalized advice to users every day. The terms of the Midjourney deal, which reportedly closed in the spring, were not disclosed.

Midjourney founder David Holz says co-founder Banu Guler will oversee the program after the acquisition. At the same time, Guler will also take the role of director of design for Midjourney, according to Bloomberg. Holz told the site that Guler and his team will help Midjourney develop the company’s first apps, including one dedicated to creating images. Midjourney currently has its own AI models online and via Discord.
