Microsoft confirms Copilot ‘super app’ is coming this year

Microsoft is working on an “advanced program” for AI that combines Copilot’s chat, text, and technology capabilities. On Wednesday’s earnings call, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said the program will take on “consumer and business experiences” when it launches this year.

“Copilot is rapidly transitioning from chat to Cowork to Autopilots,” Nadella said. “This quarter, we’re bringing together the Copilot experience, including the code, in one advanced program… This is a big step, and I look forward to sharing more information soon.”

Nadella’s confirmation comes months after the report came out Chance revealed that Microsoft is working on a state-of-the-art software that includes the Copilot chatbot, the GitHub Copilot coding assistant, Copilot Cowork, and its Autopilot agent system. Together with Microsoft, OpenAI soon unveiled its new ChatGPT Work appwhich integrates ChatGPT with its own AI tool for writing Codex.
