Michael Jackson and Spider-Man – Premier League celebrations take a twist


Michael Jackson and Spider-Man – two names that were definitely not on the Premier League bingo card heading into the final weekend of the 2025-26 campaign.

Anyway, thanks Newcastle United Striker William Osula and Sunderland Midfielder Enzo Le Fee, both made brief appearances in England’s top flight on Sunday.

Between them doubling the Magpies’ lead 3-1 win over West Ham At St James’ Park, Ossula walked away in celebration before throwing a white glove from the side of the pitch.

Osula promptly put on the gloves — which were famously part of the King of Pop’s stage wardrobe — before striking many of Jackson’s iconic poses.

Earlier in the day at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Le Fee was thrown not a glove from the crowd, but a mask of the famous web-slinging superhero.

26-year-old who was seated Sunderland Ahead for the first time 3-1 win in the end – posed for the camera in his mask, mimicking Spider-Man’s iconic web-shooting hand gesture.

Le Fee said after Match of the Day: “Since I was little, I loved Spider-Man – my favorite hero with my little brother, so it’s a sign for him.

“I should have celebrated a long time ago but I didn’t score. I’m happy to score in front of our fans.”
