Media reports have revealed the side that the family of Egyptian Liverpool star Mohamed Salah have decided to move next season after his departure from the English club was confirmed.

Mohamed Salah had earlier announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the current season, ending a nine-year journey since 2017 that has seen him linked with numerous leagues, notably the Saudi and American leagues.

According to the report of the English “Team Talk” website, which is reported by the Saudi “Riyadiya” newspaper, Mohamed Salah is open to two options: to move to Saudi Arabia or the American league next summer.

However, the report revealed that the Egyptian star’s family prefers a move to the Saudi league, provided that this happens after his participation in the finals of the 2026 World Cup in America, Canada and Mexico with the Egyptian national team.

Al-Ittihad are the most prominent Roshan League club with Mohamed Salah linked with a move next summer, while his counterpart is American club San Diego, owned by Egyptian Mohamed Mansour.

This conflict is reminiscent of what happened to Argentine Lionel Messi in the summer of 2023, when he left PSG on a free and Al Hilal competed with Inter Miami for him, before the Moon opted to move to the American League.
