Vinicius Junior entered the final year of his contract with Real Madrid after eight seasons within the club’s walls, at a time when renewal talks have so far failed to make any tangible progress.
Real Madrid do not want to lose one of their most popular stars for free after the end of his contract, especially since the player will be entitled to a large loyalty bonus next season, which increases the importance of deciding his future as soon as possible.
