Mbappe: We disrespected the French shirt and Messi will score in Spain

France star Kylian Mbappe has expressed confidence that Lionel Messi will be able to score in the World Cup final against Spain, which would put him back level with him as the all-time leading goalscorer at the World Cup.

We didn’t respect this shirt in the first half and I don’t understand that and we can’t afford what happened. In the second half we played at a high level and showed more character. We won the second half, but we didn’t win the match. I was hoping we would do it for coach Deschamps.”
