Mbappe is candid about his new Real Madrid deal and puts Pogba in a special position

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has commented on one of Real Madrid’s new signings while he was in the United States of America with the French national team for the 2026 World Cup finals.

The Roosters begin competition in Group Nine against Senegal next Tuesday, with Iraq and Norway also in the group.

Several French and Spanish reports, including Agence France-Presse, have confirmed that Real Madrid have signed French defender Ibrahim Konate to Liverpool until 2030 after his contract with the Reds expired at the end of last season.

Mbappe made statements to the newspaper L’Equipe about a number of French stars, and he said about Konate. “He’s a very fierce defender in every sense of the word. “He doesn’t make any mistakes, he’s strong with his marks and he wants the opponent to feel it’s going to be a tough night.”

“I would like to have defenders like him in my team because they have determination and tactical flexibility, because they are able to chase down their opponents, they can also face individual confrontations, win duels and stick to tactical discipline.”

Mbappe praised midfielder N’Golo Kante, saying: “He’s not afraid to retire even if he’s sixty-four.”

Mbappe has refused to compare Roosters midfielder Manu Kone (Roma) to Paul Pogba, saying: “We shouldn’t compare him to Pogba because that would mean we have to wait for him to do what Pogba did and he won’t. Because there is only one Paul Pogba, and there will only be one. How I hope there will be only one Manu.”

Mbappe also praised Ousmane Dembele And Michael OlisseyHe said of Dembele, his two colleagues in the forward line of the French national team. “He’s in his prime, mature and determined.
