Mbappe about the Senegal match. Let’s meet with the champion of Africa

France is in Group Nine alongside Senegal, Norway and Iraq.

AS newspaper published Mbappe’s interview with M6 TV channel, where he said: “We have prepared well. We realize that the road will be difficult. We are ready to compete and try to reach the final.”

He added: “Senegal is a difficult opponent, they are the champions of Africa, I don’t know if it is Senegal or Morocco.”

Senegal had won the 2025 African Nations Championship after a 1-0 win over hosts Morocco, but the African Union decided to strip the Teranga Lions of the title and give it to the Atlas Lions.

He continued. “There is a shared history between Senegal and France and that adds even more excitement to the match.”
