Marketa Vondrossova was banned for four years last year for defying a doping test

Former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrosova was banned for four years last year after failing an anti-doping test.

Vondrasova, 26, was charged by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) in December 2025 for refusing to allow a doping control officer to enter her home to conduct the test.

The Czech player said she feared for her safety when the officer called her in April. He failed to follow “protocol”.

But a court decided Vondrosova, who became the first unseeded player Win the Wimbledon women’s singles Headline in 2023, “No Mandatory Certification” to reject a challenge.

Vondrosova’s ban expires on June 21, 2030.
