Mark Sneyd: Salford RLFC re-signs half-back for third spell with club

Salford have re-signed Warrington Wolves half-back Mark Snead on a deal starting next season.

The 35-year-old joins the club for his third spell, having started his senior career with them in 2010 before returning in 2022.

Sneed Joined Ware in March 2025 An 18-month deal when the previously named Red Devils ran into financial trouble that led to their relegation from the Super League and subsequent takeover and rebranding late last year.

“The timing was a big one for me. I spoke to Ryan (Brierley – CEO) and the coaches and their ambitions were really different,” he said.

“The club is at a very new stage, but I want to help the club get back to the level that the club wants to be. Hopefully next year we can build on what the club has already built this season.”

After arriving at the club’s academy, Sneed made a total of 136 Salford appearances in his two spells.

“I was here when the club went through administration, and I know first-hand how difficult it was for Sneedy to leave,” added Brearley.

“To have the opportunity to bring him home now, and to have him finish this chapter in a Salford shirt, feels incredibly special.”
