Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign England defender Nim Charles from Chelsea.

She was also part of the squad under former manager Emma Hayes that reached the Women’s Champions League final in 2021.
Charles’ departure from Chelsea coincided with the arrival of the Republic of Ireland Katie McCabewho joined from Arsenal last month.
City, who won their first WSL title in a decade in May, are looking to add squad depth in the transfer window to challenge in Europe next season.
They could also bring in England forward Beth Meade, who left Arsenal last month.
Charles will provide vital WSL and Women’s Champions League experience as the England defender looks to gain regular playing time and cement her place in Sarina Wigman’s squad for next year’s World Cup.
