Al-Raqi is looking forward to the infusion of new blood
The relationship between Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahly and their Algerian star Riyad Mahrez has turned into one of the most interesting files in recent hours, witnessing sudden developments that completely changed the scene, although all indications were that the player will continue with the team next season.
The Algerian captain has repeatedly stated his desire to continue his career at Al-Ahly, and recent media reports have suggested that the management have informed him that he is not on the exit list, thus closing the door on speculation about his future.
But the scene suddenly changed after the Al-Ahly management decided to end their relationship with Mahrez before the end of the June 30 deadline, as the two sides reached an agreement to terminate the contract by mutual consent.

Journalist Sami Al-Kadi reports that the Algerian star will receive 15 million dollars in financial compensation in exchange for breaking the contract, so that in the summer transfer period he will become a free player and have the right to sign a contract with any club.
The decision contradicted earlier reports that Mahrez remained part of the team’s project, causing controversy among Al-Ahly fans, especially as the player was one of the most popular elements behind their recent success.
During his time at Al-Ahli, Mahrez played a key role in achieving many achievements and produced remarkable performances that made him one of the most popular stars in the Roshen League before his journey ended abruptly, pending the revelation of his new destination in the coming days.
