The French president claims the third world title of roosters
French President Emmanuel Macron received the players of Paris Saint-Germain at the Elysée Palace today, Sunday, after winning the Champions League title for the second season in a row, after yesterday’s penalty shootout win over England’s Arsenal (4-3), draw after the end of regular and extra time (1-1).
During the reception, Macron considered that Saint Germain “represents great pride for all of France”.

On the other hand, the French president strongly condemned the riots that took place after the coronation of Paris, describing them as “unacceptable” violence.

He added: “This is not football, this is not sport, this is not what we love… Therefore, thanks to our police, we will be ruthlessly strict with those arrested. We don’t want to see this again. (The rioting) must end. We are tired.”
Regarding the sports aspect, Macron said: “Paris Saint-Germain followed in the footsteps of the French national team and acquired two stars. Now I am waiting for our national team to add a third star to our shirt (at the 2026 World Cup).
Speaking about the French national team, he continued. “There is no team in the world that has so much talent and so much accumulated experience.”
He continued. “Paris Saint-Germain also achieved what we believed and what many thought was impossible… they achieved it with heart and passion, while making Paris and the whole country shake with joy.”
