Three men accused of murdering Northern Ireland journalist Lyra McKee seven years ago have been found not guilty.
The 29-year-old author was shot dead in April 2019 while standing next to police cars as she witnessed violence in the Creggan area of Londonderry.
The New IRA – the rebel republican paramilitary group – claimed responsibility for her death.
The three men charged with murder are Paul McIntyre, Peter Kavanagh and Jordan Devine.
The prosecution’s case was that on the night Lira was killed, they accompanied a lone gunman to the shooting site and encouraged or aided him.
But the defense said much of the prosecution’s case was based on “pure speculation.”
