A suitcase full of money in a Vegas hotel room. It’s a common way to start entertainment, but even if Lucky doesn’t threaten to break paradigms it achieves a short, twisted twist. Anya Taylor-Joy stars as Lucky, a woman who thinks she’s taken off a crowned eagle with lover Cary (Drew Starkey), only to wake up the next day strapped to an empty bed. Worse, where the money is gone, the original owners aren’t – and soon they have Annette Bening’s boss Priscilla on her tail and the Feds. Lucky doesn’t hold back – the first part is a long chase – but as long as you leave your worries at the door, you’ll have a lot of fun.
