Gino Thetikul won by four shots on the final day of the Mizuho America Open in New Jersey.
Thitikul took a two-shot lead into Sunday and mixed four birdies with a lone bogey in a final-round 69, pulling four shots behind nearest rival Ruing Yin.
Yin started four behind when Thitikul birdied him to get within a shot with three holes to go, followed with five birdies on his front nine, only for him to bogey the 16th in three after Thitikul birdied him.
Thitikul added a birdie on the final hole to extend his winning margin, ending the week at 13 under, Yin finished his final round 69 but claimed solo second with two bogeys on the back nine.
It was Thitikul’s ninth career LPGA Tour victory and second of the season, following her success at the Honda LPGA Thailand in February, closing the gap on world number one Nellie Korda.
Allison Lee shared third place with Gabby Lopez and Jenny Bay at eight under, two strokes back in a tie for seventh place with Allison Corpuz and Jenny Shin.
Celine Boutier, playing in the final group with Thitikul, had three bogeys and no birdies on the front nine to drop out of the chase and eventually finish tied-ninth after a three-over 75.
Saki Baba recorded his first career ace on the LPGA Tour, hitting a seven-iron from 153 yards on the par-three seventh.
The LPGA Tour heads to Ohio for the Kroger Queen City Championship, starting Thursday at Maketewah Country Club, with Charlie Hull returning as the defending champion. Get Sky Sports or Flow without any contract.
