Leinster captain Callan Dorries said the prospect of several players leaving the province at the end of the season had given them extra motivation ahead of their 20-11 URC semi-final win over the Stormers.
The defending champions made a dominant start at the Aviva Stadium before the South African side battled back and closed the gap to just two points.
After Jamieson Gibson-Park reduced the away side to 13 men, Leo secured victory for Cullen and set up a final against the Bulls.
Ciaran Frawley Confirmed his departure at the end of the season, although it is unclear whether the record-breaking try scorer James Lowe Will be in the province.
“It was a proper knockout game,” Dorris said.
“There were a couple of chances towards the end of the first half that we left out there and if we converted them they would have potentially changed the outcome of the game. Credit to the Stormers.
“Delighted with the end result and a massive opportunity for the group to reach another final.
“We have a special team and a number of guys are stepping up towards the end of the season. It’s been a big motivator for us in the knockout stages to extend the season and enjoy our time together.”
Leinster will now have the chance to defend the URC title they won against the Bulls last season and bounce back from last month’s Champions Cup final loss to Bordeaux-Beagles.
Head coach Cullen praised the resilience of his players but added that Dublin had areas to work on before the showpiece.
“It had a little bit of everything, but very proud of the group because it’s our sixth playoff game of the season so far and it’s like this game, they take their toll physically,” he said.
“So, great challenge, amazing crowd there today, amazing atmosphere there today, so we’re delighted to go to another final.
“They’re a huge physical team, we know that, so it’s not a surprise for us, but I think we can be better from our point of view there.”
