Leeds United: Daniel Farke says Premier League club must match his ambitions


Leeds Head coach Daniel Farke says he is “not the right choice” to take charge of the club if they don’t match his ambitions in the summer.

“I’m ambitious and it’s pretty important for me moving forward,” Farke said ahead of Sunday’s final home game against Brighton

“I like attractive football, maybe for teams at the top of the table, but I like to be a manager who plays for something rather than something to avoid.

“If it’s about maintaining the status quo, I’m not the right choice. I have to believe in a project and I do my best when I buy into a project. I can pick and choose what I believe in.”

Leeds 14th in the Premier League table, eight points clear of the relegation zone, reaching their first FA Cup semi-final since 1987 this season.
