Algerian football legend Rabah Majer has laid out his vision of an ideal Arab team that he believes can compete with the greats and even win the World Cup.

During his speech on the Saudi program Our Club, Majer explained that Arab football currently has an exceptional generation of players, citing the levels represented by the stars of Morocco, Egypt and Algeria in the current tournament, stressing that the gap between Arab teams and the world’s leading teams has become smaller than ever.

Majer chose Moroccan goalkeeper Yassin Bounou to defend the goal, while the back line consisted of Ashraf Hakim, Rami Bensebain, Boualem Khouk and Nasir Mazrau, given that the back four combined defensive strength with the ability to support the attack.

In midfield, he selected Ez El-Din Ounahi, Ibrahim Maza and Imam Ashour, showing that this trio has the required variety between playmaking, movement between the lines and constant physical pressure throughout the game.
