Laporta explodes against Perez…and dodges about Holland and Alvarez

The president of “Barcelona” Joan Laporta has accused its traditional rival, “Real Madrid”, of using the Catalan team to hide the club’s failures.

Florentino Perez, the president of “Real Madrid” held a press conference in which he called for early elections and attacked “Barcelona” in the case of Negra.

“Mundo Deportivo” newspaper published Laporta’s statements when he attended the golf tournament organized by the Ronald Koeman Foundation.

“There’s really no Negreira case, it’s just a lie and I think they’re doing it to create a smokescreen and distract from the fact that they haven’t won a title in two years,” Laporta said.

“They use Barcelona to cover up their failures. The club is studying these statements in order to respond to them in the appropriate place.”

He added: “They spent a lot and still got nothing, while we keep winning. We won two La Liga titles, two Super Cups and one Copa del Rey.”
