Kieran Carlson: The Glamorgan captain has signed a two-year contract extension

Carlson’s Glamorgan career has not been smooth sailing, with a loss of form in 2019 and 2020, but a resurgent 2021 season was capped off as he led the side to victory in the ODI Cup – a first trophy for the club since 2004.

Also asked to take the reins of the side four days into the season – their first return to Division One for 21 years – following the departure of Sam Northeast, Carlsson continued to lead from the front.

Carlson’s innings this season has A career best of 209 Against Hampshire, Glamorgan have started brightly after the first block of Championship games to sit third in the table thanks to two wins and three draws from six matches.
