Kerik: Ego is the secret to Manchester United’s success

Confirm Michael Carrick The Manchester United manager has said the presence of “ego” in players is essential to success, showing he is looking to harness that strength rather than remove it.

When asked whether the stability of Manchester United’s dressing room is due to getting rid of the “ego” of the players, the coach said in the highlighted statements of the “ESPN” network:

“You need it, and it can be used in all kinds of different ways, so I think it’s how you use it that makes the difference,” Carrick added in his remarks.

Carrick continued his statements by saying: “I think part of my experience and learning here and watching the players who are better than me is how they deal with it and the sacrifice they make for the team.”

Carrick continued. “I think it’s mostly pride in yourself and what you work for. I think everyone has their own personality in different ways.”

He concluded. “It’s clear to see the spirit, the togetherness and the camaraderie within the team and everyone is working in the same direction and using the ego to serve the club can be a very powerful thing and we have to benefit from that.”
