Juventus’ interest in Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker is no longer just speculation, but has turned into a serious move in the summer transfer market in an attempt to bring one of the world’s most famous goalkeepers back to the Italian league.
Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that Alisson has decided to make a formal request to the Liverpool board to be allowed to leave this summer after seeing him give the Reds everything he had since joining from Roma in 2018.
As reported by the Italian newspaper, the international goalkeeper has already reached a personal agreement with the leaders of “Juventus” regarding the terms of the contract, and all that remains is the financial agreement between the two clubs to complete the deal.
Alisson’s request puts Liverpool in a difficult position, especially as the club goes through a period of transition following the departure of manager Arne Slott, and as management look to restructure the squad ahead of the new season.
Reports in England suggest that Spain’s Andoni Iraola, the former Bournemouth manager, is at the top of the list of candidates to succeed Slott, meaning the new manager could begin his mission with the loss of one of the team’s mainstays.

Alisson (31) is under contract at Liverpool until the summer of 2027, but his clear desire to return to Italy, particularly Juventus, could prompt the Reds’ management to hold talks rather than clash with their first-choice goalkeeper.
