Jutta Rantala has become the latest Leicester player to join Everton

Everton have signed Finnish forward Jutta Rantala from Leicester City.

said Lester, outsider Rantala had a year left on his contract and it is understood that Everton have activated an undisclosed release clause to sign the 26-year-old.

BBC Sport reported on Tuesday that the clubs – who had already agreed two previous deals this summer – had reached an agreement for his transfer.

France forward Nomi Mouchon joins Everton On a free from Leicester last week while the Wales striker Hannah Cain returns Two days later from Fox to Merseyside.

Rantala has scored 13 goals in 48 appearances since joining Leicester from Swedish club Vitsjö GIK in 2023.

He was Leicester’s player of the season and top scorer in 2023–24 but suffered a knee injury in the following campaign.

Rantala scored 10 goals in 36 caps for Finland and was part of their squad at Euro 2025.

She is the sixth player to leave Leicester this summer after they were relegated from the Women’s Super League in June.

Everton are looking to build on last season’s eighth-place finish in the WSL following the departure of manager Brian Sorensen.

Scott Phelan was named as his permanent successor this summer and they have made six signings so far, including a trio from Leicester.
