The deputy editor of the Spanish newspaper AS, one of the most famous media outlets close to Real Madrid, Tomas Roncero criticized… Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe after exchanging public statements with his coach Alvaro Arbeloa.
It happened yesterday, Thursday, after the victory of “Real Madrid” over “Real Oviedo” in the 36th round of the Spanish championship.
Roncero said during the “El Largero” program of the Spanish radio Cadena Ser. “We confirmed once again that there is chaos in discipline. The controversy was no accident. Relationships within the team fell apart. Mbappe proved that he goes it alone. He is very angry because he felt he had become a backup player.”
“When Mbappe found out that he would not be in the starting lineup for El Clasico, he announced that he was in some pain so that he would not travel. Arbeloa reminded him of that, saying: “You weren’t even ready to sit on the bench, so how are you going to start in four days?” It was an exchange of harsh statements.
As for the fans’ demands for Mbappé’s departure, Roncero replied: “The wave will decrease in the new season. “Real” will start a new project with deals and a new coach… And in the next season, the fans will start the competitions with excitement. And with the first goal scored by him, everything will be closed.”
“In the new season, everyone will be starting again and chanting ‘Long live Killian!’ We have to be smart. He is an exceptional player in every sense of the word. What we can’t do is lose him. He can be criticized for what he does off the field, but I don’t blame him for anything on the field. “It is impossible to be the best player in the world.”
