Jason Sunday of the Yankees crashes into the wall making the catch

New York — Yankees Left fielder Jason Dominguez Left the game against Thursday Rangers He is in a cart after crashing into a wall while catching Brandon NimmoThe go ahead drive in the first innings.

Dominguez, playing the outfield for the Yankees for the second time this season, ran 81 feet to catch Nimmo’s 101 mph shot. He gloved the ball 375 feet from the plate as his left shoulder and head slammed hard against the video advertising board.

Dominguez’s sunglasses flew off as he landed chest first on the caution track. Center fielder Trent Grisham Manager Aaron Boone, along with head athletic trainer Tim Lentich, assistant athletic trainer Jimmy Downum and director of sports medicine and rehabilitation Michael Schuck, came jogging out to check on Dominguez.

Dominguez cupped his head in his glove and sat up after about a minute. He pointed over his shoulder and craned his neck as he was being examined then walked under his own power to a cart and sat down as the cart moved away.
