James added: “Those words stayed in my mind forever. Watching Cristiano also changed my way of thinking. He stayed extra time after shooting practice, gym work and rehab sessions. He never stopped improving.”

“(Ronaldo) pushed everyone around him to raise his level. Playing alongside him made me more disciplined, more focused and mentally stronger. Therefore, I always say that Cristiano is not only one of the greatest players in history, but also one of the colleagues who helped me the most during my career.

The Zidane era

As for the experience of playing under the leadership of technical director Zinedine Zidane, he said.
