The prices of laptops in 2026 have been rising. The MacBook Air remained stable, until yesterday when Apple raised the price by $200. The base model now starts at $1,299, making it even better. The deal is on the latest version with the M5 chip, which was launched earlier this year. At $996 on Amazon, it’s now $300 off sale.

Most people already know the MacBook Air, and it hasn’t changed much outside of 2022. But the 2026 model has two important additions: better graphics thanks to the M5 chip, and support for two external monitors.
