Anthony Joshua’s Olympic rival Ivan Dychko has set his sights on becoming Kazakhstan’s first heavyweight world champion ahead of his UK professional debut in Bournemouth on Saturday.
Dychko faced undefeated English heavyweight Harvey Dykes at the Bournemouth International Centre, Live on Sky SportsHe competed on UK soil for the first time after narrowly losing to Joshua in the semi-finals of the London 2012 Olympics.
The two-time Olympic medalist has defeated Filip Horgovich, Bakhodir Zalolov and Zhilei Zhang in an illustrious amateur career, with 14 of Ditchko’s first 15 professional wins coming by way of knockout before a loss to Jermaine Franklin Jr. in September.

Dychko’s defeat ended an undefeated start to his professional career, although the 35-year-old believes he is fully capable of coming back and ending Dyck’s perfect pro.
“Of course, I want to be world champion,” Dychko told Sky Sports. “I want to see my name in boxing history.
“I took great experience from my amateur career and I use it in my professional boxing.
“I’m excited to be here and I’m glad I have business with Zuffa. Because we’re heavyweights, knockouts in our contracts and business in general.
“I’ve seen his (Dykes’) fight and I know his style. I’ve got tricks – you’ll see!”
