It’s official… Napoli complete the delayed deal with Manchester United

“Napoli” has announced that the necessary conditions have been met for the permanent acquisition of striker Rasmus Hoylund from “Manchester United”.

“On 13 September, our number 19 scored his first goal in his first game, helping Napoli beat Fiorentina 3-1 away at the Stadio Artemio Franci. He participated in 44 matches in the blue shirt, scoring 16 goals.

Napoli secured Hoylund’s permanent move by mathematically qualifying for the Champions League with one round to go last May.

“Napoli” already paid 6 million euros to rent the striker for one season last summer, and added 44 million euros to confirm his permanent transfer.

Hoylund previously played in the Italian league before joining Napoli, where he spent one season with Atalanta in 2022-2023, scoring 10 goals in 34 appearances.

During his three years at Manchester United, Hoylund scored 26 goals in 95 games.

Napoli are set to appoint a new coach, Massimiliano Allegri, to replace Antonio Conte, who has already announced his departure after two seasons at the Maradona Stadium.

“Napoli” finished the Italian league season 2025-2026 in second place and won the Super Cup.
