Diop’s transfer comes after a remarkable performance with Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, where he made five appearances and scored a goal against Holland to help the Atlas Lions reach the quarter-finals.

The English club added: “The 194cm tall player is considered a strong aerial defender who excels at defensive reading.”

Diop began his professional career at Toulouse in France, where he took over as captain at an early age, before moving to West Ham United for a club record fee in 2018.

In 2022, he moved to Fulham, where he has made over 75 Premier League appearances so far, taking his total Premier League appearances to over 170.
