On June 14, Israeli settlers attacked two West Bank villages.

Police said their investigation showed that masked residents had joined forces to enter Deir Dibwan carrying incendiary materials, tear gas and knives, AFP reported.

“After entering the village, they committed several crimes which included burning plants, setting fire to cars, destroying the local mosque, attacking people’s houses and smashing cars and houses,” according to the police statement.

During the attack, witnesses told Al Jazeera that the settlers poured a flammable substance on the window of the mosque and set it on fire. while the worshipers were inside.

More than 500,000 Israelis live in the occupied West Bank – except for East Jerusalem – in settlements illegal under international law.

The number of terrorist attacks against civilians has increased significantly in 2026 to almost six per day, according to the United Nations.

The conspiracies continue

Just on Friday, the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported several attacks and attacks on Palestinian homes and villages across the West Bank. They included attacks on houses in the village of Al-Maniya, southeast of Betelehem, on vehicles northwest of Ramallah and a fire started by residents of the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah.

Wafa said Israeli soldiers and residents attacked the Al-Ras Mosque in the old city of Hebron at dawn, beating those inside, preventing dawn prayers from taking place and closing the mosque to worshippers.

The Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture and Religious Affairs condemned the attack, condemning the raising of Israeli flags over the mosque and banning worshipers from entering.

Also on Friday, Israeli soldiers beat and arrested a Palestinian man near the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem’s residential area, Wafa said.

Attacks on the occupied West Bank have continued despite the indictment of the six.

According to The Times of Israel, the defendants are five children and an 18-year-old. It also said that they will be charged in the Jerusalem District Court for fighting people because of racism which includes many crimes of violence, violence, burning because of “terrorists” and destroying property because of racism.

Al Jazeera reported that Western countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Norway, New Zealand and the UK have provided related penalties targeting networks involved in financing, supporting and perpetrating Palestinian violence in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

However, in Israel, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that the establishment groups and their leaders welcome this as “a sign of respect”, which means that the sanctions will do little to stop the spread of settlements.

Daniella Weiss, whose group, Nachala, held meetings on the Gaza border to discuss plans to expand the settlement there “rejected the European sanctions as ‘absurd’ and ‘restrictive’.
